Uploading PowerPoint to Your Blog
Hi Everyone,
I received a great question regarding uploading a PowerPoint presentation to your blog. I wanted to forward out my response in case anyone else out there is interested. Also, I will be posting these instructions on the HEAL home blog for further reference.
To upload your PowerPoint presentation as a static document to your blog, please follow these instructions:
1. Save your PowerPoint as a pdf file.
2. Log in to your Gmail account and click on the top icon "Documents".
3. Next to "Create", click on the left icon "Upload".
4. Click on "Files".
5. Then click on the file you want to upload.
6. For upload settings, click "Convert documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and drawings to the corresponding Google Docs format".
7. Click "Start Upload"
8. Once upload is completed, click on "Share".
9. Where it states "Who has access", click on "Change"
10. Click on "Public, on the web".
11. Click "Save".
12. Then it will indicate "Link to Share".
13. Copy that link (as this is the link to your document) to your Blog.
14. Log in to your blog
15. Create a "Link"
16. Paste URL of your document into the link URL cell and provide a name to the link such as "Big Bird's PowerPoint presentation on Seed Distribution".
Here are additional instructions that Google provides on uploading your document to Google Docs.
Hope this helps. If you need additional assistance, please let me know.
